1. I have learned that going into second semester I need to have better time management skills. I did what was told sometimes did the bare minimum or didn’t fully understand the directions. Better managing my time would have allowed for me to prepare better and put more effort into the individual steps. I also learned a lot about the time period of Nathaniel Hawthorne. I also learned about his style pf writing and his behavior in society.
2. I believe the meaning of this was for us to learn in depth research and allow to plan a project which will be a vital skill in college. I admit going into the project I was not very excited. I enjoyed my author’s works and enjoyed creating my website so all in all I believe this was a very good project. It was hard but as a junior taking advanced classes I expected such and I feel this has prepared me for future projects that take place over a prolonged time period. It will be useful in many classes.
3. I met my goals of completing my steps on time and finishing my project. My steps along the way weren’t always pretty and that is the way I can improve the most. The steps leading to the final project need more attention then I gave them. I am proud of my final product though. I can definitely improve on the intermediate steps in a project. I completed them but with lack of effort or misinterpretation on some of them caused me to have poor quality steps and while I revised them it made putting together my project harder because I had to redo details to work them into the project.
4. Overall I enjoyed the project. I enjoyed getting to learn about my author and creating my symbol. It was a hard project with many steps but those steps helped me to produce my final product. I enjoyed how much freedom we were given as well. I would happily do a project like this again.
